My friend Tracey made the best patriotic burgers ever - just yummy. Why are they patriotic? Because they were made with red meat grilled over white hot coals and stuffed with bluecheese - red, white, and blue cheese, get it? Here's a shot of them just as they were prepping to offer us a private pyrotechnic display suitable for celebrating the 4th of July!
After the overnight out-of-state road trip with Dad, the overnight with the niece and nephew, and guests who stopped overnight at the Homestead last night, it was hot but enjoyable afternoon hanging out in Tracey's backyard and the chance to cool off in the pool this Independence Day.
